Hurray, finally the book is now in print and should be in stores by mid April This is an exciting project I've been researching for the past five years. It focuses on the Kashmir shawls woven during the reign of Maharaja Runjit Singh and will feature some of the best examples of these extremely graphic weavings drawn from collections around the world. Because museums have paid scant attention to such pieces, few are found even in the best institutional collections. However, I am quite aware that many have been bought up over the years by private individuals.
